As The World We Walk Upon

Weaving skein in warp and woof,
Threads and colors stand aloof;
Floor and ceiling, base and roof –
As the world we walk upon

Clocks colliding in the air,
Cold timepieces everywhere;
Much to have, but loth to share:
Weaving skeins of want anon

Sabotage all parity;
Squander with celerity;
Distract with dexterity
And tricks out on the lawn –

Threads that choke and tangle slowly:
Urban mangers, infants lowly,
Carpets made from humans holy,
As the world we walk
Upon
