I wish I hadn’t kissed you,
We should’ve left that out;
‘Cause ever since we did, it’s all
That I can think about
Your scent, intoxicating, and
The soft feel of your skin:
I wish I’d never kissed you,
Or wish I could
Again
I wish I hadn’t kissed you,
We should’ve left that out;
‘Cause ever since we did, it’s all
That I can think about
Your scent, intoxicating, and
The soft feel of your skin:
I wish I’d never kissed you,
Or wish I could
Again
Oh, man. You wrote this at sixteen?
I’m pretty sure my sixteen-year-old self was limited to stuff like:
Life is hard.
Then we die.
POETIC TRAGEDY.
I like yours… it captures the age better.
I edit these pretty thoroughly when I reprint them, except for the occasional one I label “unedited”. Those read like English was maybe a third language for me.
LOL!
Seriously, I’ll remember this “third language” comment and LOL for weeks to come. At least. Thanks. 😀
I never got to kiss the woman I still love!
🙁
Beautiful picture!
Kissing is too personal?
It’s in his kiss… that’s where it is?
Betty Everett.
Kind of…
Yeah, this Owen guy shows up and you don’t have time for me anymore.
I knew her first…
I’m better, though.
Me
Me
Lol.
That’s my favourite picture in all your posts! It reminds me of someone!

Fabulous!! I love it! I love my old poems too. My daughter (14) just wrote a poem/song about her first romance/heartbreak. I told her, one day, honey, you will read or sing this and it will take you right back to this moment. Writing can mark the moments of our lives so we can revisit them. Thanks for sharing your moment!!
I am sixteen . I’ve not experienced love till yet but I still understand your feelings.
