Typecast

Genus, species, class, and type:
All that’s left when past the hype —
Boom. The moment’s here and passed —
Turn around, you’ve been typecast.

Your shortcomings are well-known —
How you rate, and where you’ve flown —
Suddenly, perception locks,
And you’re placed within a box

That explains what you are for:
And will be, for evermore.
Genus, species, type and class:
Stuck in place, you’ve been
Typecast
