Deforestation

Forest of our fathers
Felled by jealous giants
Slayers of the sylvan
Player’s moral pliance

Bark now bent and splintered
Wooded cries are chorused:
Thick the thrill of thralldom
Cutthroats kill the forest

  1. We just had some beautiful trees cut down in our neck of the woods, to make way for a subdivision, and they didn’t even use the wood! They burned it! Oak and maple and who knows what else… this is Florida. Everything grows here! We were mortified!
