“Le cœur a ses raisons, que la raison ne connaît point. On le sent en mille choses.”
“The heart has its reasons, which reason does not know. We feel it in a thousand things.”
– Blaise Pascal
I find love in a thousand things,
An autumn day, a summer night;
I find it in by the waterside
As I watch geese take flight
But every type of love I’ve known –
And those of which I’ve yet to tell –
I find within the piercing eyes
Of my own Mirielle
For love’s amorphous, changing shape and
Pattern, as new worlds occur;
But all of them take shape in me
When I am here, with her
But words are cheaper than the truth,
Love’s more than any poet says:
I see it in a thousand things,
But mostly
Where she is

Good heavens, is this beauty the little woman??
