No Timetable

Time is cruel

In the way that only
Tireless, relentless things can be

Like gravity

But love resists

It knows no timetable, for
Love participates in eternity

Our minds get worn down
Our eyes fail
Our joints ache

But feelings persist

Long after the
Purblind keepers
Of timetables
Seem to think

And I’ll take love over time

Author: Beleaguered Servant

Owen "Beleaguered" Servant (a/k/a Sibelius Russell) writes poetry mostly, with an occasional pause to have a seizure.
