at one point, all ideas are new,
then we decide, in turn,
that what we know is quite enough;
there's no more left to learn.
for all the good music is already written;
all the good shows, defunct --
well, all of that is not true, of course,
it's easily debunked
if we are opened-minded, but
there is the rub, the sting,
since what we think we know
does not encompass
everything
