A Heart of Gray

A heart of gray, a scarf of white,
Balloons she’ll scatter to the winds,
A day to celebrate the fight
Or flight, as either one begins

Her hair of black, her eyes of gray,
Her face reflects her firm-set mind;
A time to move to what comes next
And leave your sorry self
Behind
