Judge Me By My Intentions

I meant no harm
And yes, did much,
But that should not be
Seen as such:
For it is you
Who’s out of touch —
Judge me by my intentions

For I set out
To save you all.
I answered freedom’s
Siren call;
I took a stand,
And I stood tall —
Ignoring all conventions

You do not know
How much you need,
This food that only
I can feed —
Without me you
Cannot succeed,
In easing all these tensions

And yes, my voice
More gun than bells,
And yes, it sounds like
Wishing wells,
But it’s just me,
There’s no one else —
Judge me by my intentions
