Hope Sang A Song

Hope sang a song for me one day –
The future’s not that far away:
There’s no point going just halfway
Towards a silver dream

Hope shone a light on what had gone –
There still is peace before the dawn
The silver dream’s a silver swan
A little ways downstream

Hope sang a song for me through tears –
Do not give sway to offhand fears
For wasted minutes become years
We never can redeem

For all the dreams that came before
I’ll leave behind, for they’re no more
Love is what we’ve been put here for
Our character
Plot
And theme
