What Still Works

Balancing precariously,
Tiny sisters in the snow.

As frost-covered gold lines the trees behind,
And other neighborhood children emerge,
Dressed in their Arctic best,
Out on their own runways.

Another voyage of discovery taken,
As every sense experiences a different newness,

And the wonder belongs to the girls,

And the girls belong

To the wonder
