She’s Off At School…

She Said

She said
Don’t send her anything
She’ll buy whatever
She can swing

With what she earns
She needs no more
And so,
I’ll heed her on that score

She’s off at school
She’s gone away
She’ll know
When she has bills to pay

It’s her life now
Her worries, too
She won’t need me
She won’t need you

And that is good.
Her voice holds sway:
Who needs a father
Anyway?
