To Flourish

Instead of chasing happiness,
We should all seek to flourish;
Rather than seeking pleasure, we
Our body/soul should nourish

For running after danger is
A way of tempting fate;
A thing we only find out, often
When it’s
Far too
Late

  1. Can seeking to flourish be the same thing as chasing happiness? I find I need to make time to write and to run in order to be balanced in life. I flourish when I do both, and feel happy also…

  2. Very good poem and filled with truth. In the western mindset, we have a warped idea of happiness and the pursuit thereof.
