it laughs and bubbles as it plays; 
it gathers near, it streams afar, 
and moves within a space of joy -- 
  the water's wiser than we are. 

it hear it sing and dance the way 
it has for generations pure; 
the water's wiser than we are, 
  or wiser than i am, for sure.
