among the virtues,
humor is like a spice,
making almost everything better,
but not really a meal in itself
when we embrace the ridiculous
we find relief within
a kind of distance
from what we eventually
go back to worrying about
but that respite
can be like
water in the desert
providing what our minds
and bodies need:
the rejuvenating chance
to laugh
