We worry if we're friendly,
We worry if we're not --
And yet, respect for others
Is almost all we've got
If we're to navigate
Relationship uncertainty --
And so, we are as amiable
As we have strength to be.
And maybe, we'll get let down;
Perhaps, we'll be impugned --
And yes, when we are vulnerable,
It sometimes leaves a wound --
But still, we have to make our way,
And it's not always clear:
But it is better to be good
Than be bad out
Of fear
