Flowing, Flowing

Water flowing,
Flowing, year on year,
As earth her errands keeps;
Water flowing,
Flowing every day,
The woken one still sleeps.

Engine turning,
Turning, year on year,
The busy bees in hives;
Engine turning,
Turning every day,
For all the nameless lives

That populate the spinning orb
That circles round a fading star,

Who go where water carries them

Inside illusions like

A mason jar
