The Lone Lamp

The shadows sing at sunset,
  The long hot day is gone;
The room is sunk in sadness,
  The lone lamp flickers on.

In blue, the lone lamp flickers,
  The hour when I recall
Our bodies stretched across the bed
  Like shadows on the wall
