Perhaps you’ve been made fun of;
You’ve felt lonely, and apart –
And maybe you’ve been criticized,
Or told you’re not that smart —

Perchance, you don’t know what’s yours,
Or why you ache at heart —
But own your words, your own words own:
For that is where
To start

  1. This is a lovely tight poem and in my view wrong. Words go out and ownership is lost as others misinterpret the meaning they where meant to have. The only things we own are silent stillness. If i paint or use words they become my attempt to communicate to others..My ownership is lost. i have given it away, an act that takes strength.
