What
What does it mean
What does it mean to believe?
In someone?
What does it mean to believe in someone,
the way that I have come to believe in you?
For none of the usual rules seem
to apply.
I believe in your goodness,
your innate kindness -
I trust you,
although
I have not seen you
with my eyes,
touched you with my hands,
or even traded a friendly hug --
Perhaps :
new ways of touching bring
new ways of believing
and
new modes of friendship give
new ways of appreciating.
Take, please,
this my offer --
you have my belief
not that you will not stumble
(as I will certainly do)
but
that
You will always have my belief
in
You
This is a lovely verse which we might each share.
My husband views these connections as a tangled web, something he sometimes sees in a recurring dream of life after death. I believe in now. i know you are there and to those for whom i have an affinity, those i believe in, there is a connection that ,for me, exists as a 6th sense. Sometimes it is a burden when silence prevails but with the tiniest bit of communication it can become a joy. There is strength in the thoughtful beauty of your words and i know you are. I believe in you and in your creative spirit. I believe that even after falling you will rise and some how still smile and i will feel it.
