Five Stories – 4 – Fashion’s Forgotten

So, we went out of fashion with pet rocks.
But here are, both pesky and alive;
And though we could retire and retreat
We’re thinking let’s just buck the trend and thrive.

For many are the seasons we’ve seen go –
As day gives way to day, and year to year –
And yet, I love you more and more with each;
And am so very grateful that you’re here

So though fashion forgets us, we still live;
And all I have, for you
I still would give

Thanks to Dana Renee for this post. She has challenged me with the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge: “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”.

I would like to nominate Phillip K Dick* to participate in this challenge.

* Unlike my last nominee, this one’s only been dead 33 years. I have one more day to nominate someone for real.  Stay tuned.
