Too Candid

Sometimes I am too candid.
It’s possible, in fact
That I’ve made a four-letter word
Of what one could call “tact”

But sometimes the direct way
Seems best for what’s at hand;
When hints and subtle signals
Aren’t going well as planned

Like when another driver
Might cut across my path
I’m questioning their parentage
With my one finger math

So if I’m blunt to you, just know
It makes for better chat:
I’d try to tell a lie, but then
I’m not that good
At that
