Venus kissed me…

This morning, Venus kissed me from the sky

As cold and clear, the morning brushed my face

The neighborhood asleep, in dreams and dark

The only movement, one lone heart a-race —

And I, the mover, strange in my remorse

Beneath sweet Venus and her stars, so stark

A glow from ages, eons, long ago

And lights that know no shame, only

The dark

Wondrous Worlds

The dreams that I dreamed as a child

Are gone. They’re gone like yesterday —

The life I’d live among the stars

Out there, somewhere, so far away —

A life of loving wondrous worlds

And science to discover them —

Perhaps the stars are still out there

But now

The gray clouds

Cover them
