so crazy

my word we were so crazy
we didn’t care at all
at just how thin the air became
or how far was the fall

we gamboled through the docks and bars
a twisted mass of flesh
we tasted clouds and lights and stars
and drank each other fresh

the mornings warm like afterthoughts
the evenings fast like rain
the loving sweet like apricots
as was the lasting pain

so crazy were we really
the nights turned into burn
with everything there in our reach
except what we’d to learn

that love’s a recreation drug
and sense superfluous
when you’re so crazy you let go
and feel the fall

like us
