I Wish The Rain…

I wish the rain
Could wash me clean,
I wish the storm
Would find me out

I wish the roiling
River knew
How much I live
In shame and doubt

I wish the day
Would show me rest,
I wish the light
Would be a friend

So I might find
My way back home
And turn into myself

Again
