He wanted to
Revivify
A purposeless
Existence

So joined the local
Polychrome,
And smiled at their
Insistence —

But though their colors
Pleased the eye,
Their way he’d soon
Depart

For bright prismatics
Cannot house
The silver-gray

At heart
