Everyday Fears: Losing Things

I lost my wedding ring last night
While I was with my wife:
I’ve turned the whole house upside down.
The story of my life…

When people put some trust in me
I seem sure to abuse it:
For nothing’s so invaluable
That I don’t go
And lose it

  1. Awww.. I lost mine one night in a motel room (seriously)–the one nearest husband’s surprise major hospital while I exhaustedly tried to organize everything I’d need for the next few days. My fingers swell at night, I took it off. It was never found (I am wearing my mother’s!) Have you checked the places it couldn’t possibly be — like pants cuffs? Half-full coffee cup? I’ll be hoping it’s found soon.
