Jade Reflecting

The long hill up the way,
A light-held silence
Hovering over us.
Our hands together,
She turned towards
Her window, shifting
Slightly, as the shadows
Poured across us through
A turn.

A bit of jade reflecting
From her wrist, and time
Like innocence:
That goes and goes until
It is transformed, and
Only recognized
From memory
