I Hate Myself.

For what I have become.

I hate myself for what I have become.
I’ve hated me for years, so what is new?
The life of hatred is a lonely one;
So many things to never try to do –

And now I hate the very thought of all
The things that people thought I’d one day be:
I hate myself in ways beyond recall
I hate myself, but wish that you’d
Love me

  1. We all have a “default” place that we go to in times of personal crisis. It’s familiar territory. Mine happens to be sadness, yours seems to be self-pummeling. Try to have some mercy on yourself if you can muster it up. :/ If you want me to STFU, please tell me, okay?

      1. It makes perfect sense! No matter how much we loathe ourselves we still want everyone else to love us. We don’t want anyone else to see/know what makes us so unlovable to ourselves. Our little secret. It is profound (Even if you didn’t intend for it to be!). 🙂
