Old Friends Now

They’re old friends now; but memories
At times their talk still dominates
Of when they both were young and free,
And dashed about on roller skates

For joy’s still theirs when happenstance
Allows for reminiscing —
But though the body changes,
There’s no laughter yet gone missing
