Eight Wanderings

the truth is a grey and wrinkled cortex
not meant to be seen out of its case

boys often have
more feelings than they are able
to deal with, so
they dispense with them

the business of glamorizing vices
is one that seems unlikely to
ever lose popularity

i liked the star wars prequels because
i forgot we’re all supposed to have
the same opinions

8 Wanderings

a lot of girls i knew
were attracted to
the ‘wrong types’ of guys

i became one

if you quote writers
without having read the writers
you’re very likely
misquoting the writers

there are few fantasies
so prevalent
as believing other people know
how they make us feel

the day we stop trying new things
we have accepted the limits
we spent a lifetime trying to escape
