Six bought tickets from a scalper
For a sold-out baseball game;
Deal was not too bad, we’re thinking,
Walking in, our seats to claim
The top ticket was a good one,
But the others were for show:
All the rest were for a game that
They had played a week ago
City kid hoodwinked us scholars,
Made us each look like a dunce:
There is no fool like an old fool
‘Cept, six college fools at once

Another Daily Prompt post.
I thought no one could write rhyming poems well anymore, but you’ve succeeded. It was lyrical, funny and to the point. Loved it!
Thank you. I’m going to see the same group of friends next weekend, and twenty years later, we’re still all idiots.
Those are the best friends to have. haha
Loved it. Did anyone take the one good ticket?
Yes, the biggest fan among us.
