Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.
Everything interests me, that’s my problem:
I’m especially fond of lies —
News has these, plus occasional facts
Like who just garnered such-and-such prize —
So try as I might, I cannot find
Anything that doesn’t interest me:
The business news? No that’s stuff’s gripping.
And sports is all-but-ecstasy —
This trait just might be why I’m so beleaguered,
And look as though I have been through bad weather:
I scour the news, and I only see
That everything, everything fits
Together
