Of second cousins, twice removed,
There’s very little said, because
Nobody knows exactly who those are;
So if I can explain it
So that you can understand,
We’ll join in celebration at the bar.
‘Siblings’ share their parents and grandparents.
‘First cousins’ share the second, not the first.
‘Second cousins’ ditto great-grandparents
But aren’t as first cousins or siblings cursed.
So ‘second cousins twice removed’ can be
Two kinds of things – so go on, get your pen –
Grandparent’s second cousins or maybe
Your second cousin’s wayward grandchildren
So let us take a moment now to think
Of all the second cousins, twice removed
That we might have, but still have no idea;
