The other toys think I’m insane
But I think I’m just bolder;
They want to stay home in their box
Until it gets much colder
But I take chances – here I am!
And no Bill of Attainder
Can keep me boxed up anymore
I am a summer reindeer
I stowed away in a beach bag
With flip-flops and some lotion;
I cannot say I care that much
For all this gull commotion
But I here I am beside the sea,
No Christmas toy has been here;
So score one for the little guy:
The fearless
Summer
Reindeer

** Thanks to Dana Renee for this post. She has challenged me with the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge: “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”. **
I will nominate someone soon…
Didn’t know a summer reindeer existed until now. 🙂
I’m hoping to start a trend.
I hope it takes off. I love stuffed animals 🙂
Rudolph the sunburned reindeer.
Lol
Absolutely precious! Thank you so much for not ignoring me. I hate being a pest! 😉
This is a fun challenge, so thanks for nominating me.
What an adorable story/poem! So inventive! Absolutely love it! 😀
Thank you. I thought this picture was just… awesome.
