Poet’s County

The restless city
‘Twas around me thronging
So into Poet’s County
I did roam

And out along it’s roads
I felt the longing
For something – someone – somewhere
To call home

The haze of morning beauty,
And of sunrise;
The peaceful fields
And lonely winter birds

The stories filled up pages
Before my eyes;
That place of sacred yearning
