The world was handed to us by
All those who came before;
And so each age should try in turn
To add a little more
But some there are who feel that those
Of yesteryear were rank:
Inferior by some standard
And scarcely ones to thank
Blaming the world that we control
And everything that’s wrong
With buzzword innuendo
On the generations gone
On people who lived lives of courage
We can’t comprehend;
Who overcame great obstacles
And hardships without end
Who would not understand the modern world —
What we discuss:
They were to busy building all of that
To give to us
So let’s not condescend towards
The folk of yesterday:
We owe some humble gratitude
To those who blazed
The way

Sometimes we fall into the easy blame and forget about our own part shaping our reality. Nice poem.
