I don’t like to be told what to do.
And neither, I’d guess, do too many of you.
And yet, we’re all told, at what time of the day
Certain foods may be eaten. It just is that way.

But, I would rather decide by my lights.
What food I will eat when. It’s one of my rights.
A lesson I learned very young, far away –
At Waffle House, where every meal’s served all day.
