again today

i will be asked again today
how is it you’re not there
i know i won’t know what to say
so i will merely stare

again today, green-gray and clear
the same misjudgment will begin:
that there’s a soul inside this skin
because my body’s here

that there’s a soul inside this skin
because my body’s here

Beleaguered Servant

Owen Servant is an online poet working in a style that's been described as "compulsive". In real life, he is an actuary, because being a poet wasn't unpopular enough.
