Awakening

It can happen anytime
At any age, in any place —
A sudden, sharp awakening,
Much more than just a change of pace

It comes as gentle as a breeze,
Or sudden as a squall,
And suddenly, adventure doesn’t
Seem that strange at all.

A winter night, a summer day,
A whole new life in instant spent —
But once you find awakening
You’ll wonder where the rest of your life

Went

  1. Love this!! I’m sending it to my son as I’ve told him I think this is the year of his awakening:) he’s seventeen and begining to dream and want more. This is the perfect expression of how we have ‘awakenings’.
