Wintertime

White out on the edge of town:
Inside, the families snug and warm —
Not much is going on outside
Til some brave soul in child’s form
Erupts into the fields in joy,
Regaling snow with laughter —
‘Tis all we need: one girl, one boy,
In nows remembered after,
Made beautiful amid the rime:
Eternal bliss of wintertime
