Exaggerated Day

I spent exaggerated day
With more green than I care to say,
And dug a furrow in the land:
A place to sweat and briefly, stand.

True, I’ve seen understated nights,
And felt a lie’s soft, gentle sway:
But my life is a crayon box,
With green to smear
Exaggerated
Day
