The Architecture of Winter

A village made of branches bare
And hills made out of trees,
A carpet made of snow and light,
Prismatic in the freeze

The shadows of recesses that
The curious explore:

  1. I’d like to be the first to put
    some footprints in the snow,
and then walk backwards in the steps
    so people wouldn’t know.

They’d wonder how the prints got there
    and where the person went.
It’s good to pose a question which
to me is time well spent!
