A Stormy Relationship

I did love you and you loved me,
But man, the constant push and pull —
Our love was wide and like the sea,
And roughly as

We broke up on a windy day,
You said goodbye — or adios;
I turned to go my idle way,
Toward something (no doubt)

You try to make things work, until
You see it simply doesn’t —
Your love was everything to me,
Until the day
It wasn’t.
