My Daughter’s Son

My daughter’s son and I went out to play,
We ran around until the sky grew black;
Ate PBJ’s and drank our fill of milk,
Then played with “animals” upon the floor

We put on Tangled – he just sang along –
He fell asleep right next to a giraffe;
My wife and daughter came home to this sight,
And said they can’t believe I wore him out

But if love was a cushion, he could sleep
In all the comfort anyone could want
