Christmas Village

He tried to close his eyes, but she was there;
So he gets up and shuffles through the house,
And clicks the light on by a little lamp
Where he keeps her old Christmas village still

The night can kill with silence, wrapped in grief,
But now he stares at this old thing she loved;
As though her love would transmit through it, or
Behind one tiny window, she
