[From November, 2014…]
night has its rewards for those who seek them
and this I will do
exulting tacitly in its beauty
the heavens reveal themselves
in frosty splendor
and the breath exhaled carries today’s griefs
and yesterday’s sorrows up
up up
as sacrificial smoke
clarity in the night
warmth amidst the frost
and all the stars
one could want
for company
Dear No Talent For Certainty,
I like your photo for Night Frost Heaven. I also like your poem. I live in the woods and if I am aware than(I think it is then) then I see a lot of stars and a few planets. It is pretty and relaxing to just stand in one spot and look up at the stars.
I especially like this part of the poem:
“…clarity in the night
warmth amidst the frost
and all the stars
one could want
for company”
The ring of the last two lines are also enjoyable.
Thank you for sharing your photos and poems. I have like what I have seen so far.
Sincerely,
Sam Sutlive.
Truly beautiful ~
