Craving

It’s late at night and all at once
She gets a desperate craving;
She combs the house for all the change
That she has long been saving

She calls her boyfriend on the phone
He knows just what to do:
It is a late night ice cream call
And nothing else will do

He’s on his feet, for duty calls.
He heads off her place;
But unlike late night booty calls
The only fall from grace

Is caloric in nature; and
They both have agreed to it:
They get into his car agreed
That they will both go do it

The late night ice cream shop they find
They eat and drink their fill;
By secret roads he takes her home
She lays down with a will

Her dreams now all are peaceful ones
The right thing has been done:
The ice cream call’s been made
And she’s back home, asleep

She won
