Earth’s not where I’m bound to go
It’s where I’m bound to stay;
And yet, if I’d the resources
I blast myself away
Far off into the galaxy.
I soon would disappear –
My troubled spirit breakaway
To someplace else
But here
To share is human:
Space: 1999
If
In a work of drama
You feel that you are actually there
Transported to some fictitious place and time
With a set of created characters,
That work of art
Is successful
Even if
Other canons of artistic perfection
Are not met
