[This is my mom and a very small me in 1968. – Owen]
The 1968 “Hemisfair”
And that whole trip was great:
My mother looked so young, back then
Just short of thirty- eight
My brother and sister and dad were there
There was so much to see:
Like I met H. R. Pufnstuf
A year before T.V.
There riding on the train that day
In childhood ecstasy:
The whole world in a state of play
My family
And me
So touching!
You, Excited! Curious! Joyful! Your mother, always elegant. 🙂
I can’t describe how much this comment just made me smile…
Childhood memories are almost like it just happened yesterday.
Time flies too fast though …
Lovely this blog. 🙂
Thank you, you are very kind.
You are so welcome, Owen! 😉
I really like the rhyme scheme. I also like how amusing this poem is! 🙂
Happy times. Wasn’t life so much simpler then!
It was. Although I still have the same haircut…
You have hair. Be thankful!
